results that you yeah there there was some question marks for you know Sam as a Liverpool fan how how would you feel about that is that a little bit of a drop off what do you do to fix it the windows open is there something you need to do in the market do you need a little bit extra we've spoken about obviously in the summer you definitely need a a left back I think you definitely need someone else an upgrade on Jerel Quanza um what do you do I think left back has been a real issue I think whether it's been Robertson this season whether it's been simic cast this season we're conceding way too many goals down that left hand side it definitely was an area in the Summer where we were link with lots of different players there lots to talk about the six you know we need we needed a six zy was the player after left back's been a big weakness too often too many teams targeting that left hand side and are getting too much joy would I I don't think I'd be worried because sure three draws in a row you got to think away games to brenford and forest look games that we want to be winning but we know Forest having an amazing season United game yeah United game was probably our worst performance this season gakpo in though oh gakpo he does play Diaz in oh it's a really really good tackle from um Defender I think it's SE Vandenburg he's made a really really good tackle it was there it's getting more and more difficult to suggest that Liverpool are totally convincing when they're forever Dro dropping points like you know you know individually so they drop points at St James's park I think you can definitely position that it's a good point three all with the the prospect it didn't materialize but the prospect at the end so so I I also think that a draw against Manchester United you can present that as a as a good point but you're running out you know in the cumulatively so many good points they suddenly become not such a good point I think the difficulty is though uh to to try and you know spin that narrative is look at Arsenal who were probably their main Rivals for the title well how many points are they going to drop you know this is it you could see you could see a world where Liverpool dropped points here but still end up increasing the gap on Arsenal and they go a point I mean this is what we were saying earlier Abby that you in in those crunch games I just don't really trust Arsenal that much you no but the thing is the longer that Liverpool leave the door open and don't capitalize on these things then you are allowing Arsenal to creep back into it whereas how many points was it at one point that you had was it seven with a game in hand or yeah it might have been yeah something like that so okay that's cut to four and you've got the game in hand which I did say earlier is not as easy as I think maybe Liverpool would like to make make out it would be going away to Everton last Mery side Derby but under the Lights Under The Lights it's very important under the lights the last one good back that's a Barkley's game it could be a Barley's game um but there's a mention for them again I hope get Aston this just how it works you just name drop Brands drop Brands you know yeah uh but look I I be honest with you I I have kind of ruled Arsenal out in terms of winning the league and maybe that I hope dearly that will not come back to bite me um but I I just kind of thought that maybe these results the result against noting and Forest it's a tough place to go at the moment Forest and to be fair we did especially that second half absolutely you know the keepers made some wores hasn't they yeah absolutely but that's what you need it's it's it's a team game you need your keeper to be strong and keep you in it and today again going to brenford is a tough game but if you're going to be winning this league you do have to be putting these games to bed and and I'm surprised I thought this would be a tough game but I really thought that you would be able to see this through and that that is where my concern is and on top of that obviously injuries if you if you get injury to someone like Virgil Van djk if you get an injury to to karti and that happens at the same time for example like what Spurs have had with their Center back Partnerships which we've seen United had have over the years when Arsenal lost CBA obviously he's not playing today but in Seasons gone by that can completely derail you and I look at maybe the depth that you've got there and I don't think that you've got enough jell coner is not enough for me gome is always injured he's always injured he's currently injured anyway and the drop off even when you have someone like a canate and you'd have a a quaner there is so much disparity between the two so that's why for for me I'm so desperate for you to obviously win the league because I wouldn't want it to be Arsenal hopefully it might be Forest but there is a concern that if you don't do something in this market and then you go and get a big injury which I hope you don't there is a problem with that and then the question though is if Liverpool is struggling are Arsenal Rory in a position in a place right now as a football team to go on a three four five six seven game winning run and really put the pressure on Liverpool is that can they do that no no they can't and that's why that's why I think Liverpool will win the league even if Liverpool end up limping their way to the league which I don't think they will I think they'll fine for I think they lrw a very impressive points tally and I think they'll win the league convincingly but even if they don't even if these chinks in the armor that people are suggesting are apparent in this Liverpool team are true I can see them limping their way to the title they don't have to be perfect because the team that's chasing them is far from perfect and far less perfect than they are so ultimately I don't really see it being too too triy for I I completely agree with you I mean is it ridiculous to say that Forest could capitalized I mean I you know I suppose to to count my own sort of point there is that when Liverpool came to town and that and it was you know it was a huge game I understand they won anfield but it was early on the season at a very different if you like phase of the season for want of a better word Forest they get the goal and it was like right we got to sit on this now I know that's how Nuno often sets up teams and he's more defensive than he is attacking but if you're looking for that kind of Haley's Comet season you know with Leicester city when they won the league you can compare that to when they went to Man City the had and won 3-1 you know I think you make a really good point I think they show Liverpool too much respect especially the two Forest Wingers and Langer and H adori they got Pace they got skill and Liverpool's two right backs Trent was going into that game on the back of the United game where he struggled Robertson's had an awful season and almost just think be a bit more braver try and get them on the ball try and get them at the two full backs problem do you do you genuinely believe there's a world in which Forest could do it or do you just think it's a great story that's worth us talking about yeah I I think it's probably the latter I I i' I mean also as well when they went away who was it now was it maybe wolves where they won 3-0 fairly recently football and they went two up and yeah and they and they got a goal late on it looked like the archetyp professional job let's get this done without a fuss no messing around we're better than these and I thought I tell you what that shows a bit of quality control the problem they've got is it's so congested you know when you think about top four it's whether you think Liverpool finished top or fourth they they'll be there Arsenal will also be there now it's congestion what at Bournemouth today it's congested like there there's what seven into two but the fact is but the fifth place though champ the fifth place opens up a bit but it's still seven into three yeah it is yeah and there are a lot there there are a lot of teams that obviously improved massively teams that are overperforming teams that have underperformed you have to also obviously I mean Spurs and United are pro are Miles off of getting anywhere near it but you have to also look at those two teams that would usually be up there so was that saying how good the Premier League's got that it's more competitive or is it is it not as good anymore is it a worse product I think it's probably worse this year not necessarily always but I don't think it's this isn't going to be one of The Shining years of the Premier League I don't think it's it's fascinating it's it's it's a story in itself the fact that we have a situation where it could quite easily be Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest qualifying for the European Cup but that's not that's not beyond the the possibility yeah totally toally that could happen does that not make it a good thing because where we've gone through years and years of having this you know the the top four the top six that's kind of it is what it is and like how dare you try and knock on the door with it and if you know it might be one team then we say Okay Leicester have had you know it will never ever happen again well if it did happen again I mean doesn't that make you think that teams that maybe you know were promoted or like leester wear or Forest potentially could do something and a Bournemouth side that has got 12,000 capacity and you know the way that Brighton have built to be able to challenge and Newcastle again I know that they're now owned by Saudis but they haven't obviously had the investment um house City had when they were coming through or Chelsea had doesn't that give you a greater product to show you how competitive the league is rather than it's just the traditional Old Guard looks probably more likely that that Liverpool are going to be the team that go on and win it then that's the kind of thing where artetta says to his players
