Never Boil Again Corned Beef Recipe 😎

This is foiling braised corned beef flavorful if you boil you lose all the flavor I’ll never boil again! Once I discovered how to cook corned beef in the foil braised method it’s my go-to now. When I used to put it into a pot of water with the seasoning package it kind of washed everything out and so I have this new way of doing corned beef foil brazing and I’ll show you how to do it. We’ve got a corned beef; this is a point you can use a flat or a point and what I’ve done is I’ve soaked it for 45 minutes in water just to pull some of the brine out. You Pat it dry and I’m going to put a little bit of browning sauce on the top of this you can see browning sauce, and we’re just going to use a silicone brush and just cover the whole brisket.

Okay so I’ve covered it with two teaspoons of browning sauce with a silicone brush. This is refined coconut oil I’m going put about a tablespoon in and then we’re going to just sear it. If you’re wondering, why I have my blue jay shirt on I went to spring training yesterday and got to sit beside the dugout and talked to some players. At the end of the video, I’ll show you who I had a chance to chat with. Okay we’re going to hit all three sides on this just like that, you can see the color just adding some color to it. Okay so what we’re going to do now this is seared on all sides, I’m just going to set it on the foil like this. Doesn’t that look good already. so, the briskets come with a little package of seasoning like this and we’re just going to sprinkle that on the top and in the foil just add some really nice flavor. This is two cloves of sliced garlic and some fresh pepper. Okay the last step is to pour all of the drippings onto this, just like this right on the top all the oil and the browning sauce.

So, you bring up the top like this and fold it down and bring the sides up we’re going to seal everything in. We’ve got a nice little package. I’ve preheated the grill you can go in the oven or the grill but we’re going to cook indirect 300 degrees for two hours. Okay that’s been exactly two hours, and we’ll see what it looks like now and we’re going to check and see if it’s fork-tender. See I take the fork like this see how that’s turning around, you can see in the down shot. Wow, yeah so that’ will take like another half hour. Now it’s time to sneak in some cabbage, put that over to the side. Onions are pretty high in carbs, I’m going to add about a half onion in and then I’m going to seal this back up, so I’ll put this in and I’m going to let this go for another 30 to 40 minutes until the cabbage and the onions are cooked.

Let’s have a look. Oh, you can see how that foil leaked too. That was a three-pound corned beef. I’m going to try and put it on here, I don’t know if my pig tail will pick it up, I think it might be too tender. Yeah, see it’s fall apart. That looks delicious! I won’t take this out because it’s going to be a mess but look at how much juice came out of the corned beef.

I’m just going to cut it right down the center and you can see some pictures up there too. It’s not washed out, when you when you boil it. I’ll never boil again..ever! Look at that. That’s foil braised corned beef at its best right there. Thanks for watching! Well, we had a great day at the game, Spring Training Blue Jays and the Pirates and right at the dugout, got to talk to all the players and everything. Let’s check out who we saw.

Did you get in there? Yeah, I’m in here. All right! Good job put the team together.

How to Create a Blog Strategy (6 Steps): My $30,000/mo Blog Action Plan and Free Template

You want to create a successful blog but nothing you try seems to be working or maybe you’ve had a go at creating a strategy or an action plan, but you’re just not quite getting anywhere. I get it, that’s frustrating. I’ve been there myself. Hey, I’m Ryan Robinson. And in this video, we’re going to walk through the importance of having a clear strategy for your blog to get traffic and generate revenue. And we’re going to walk through the six steps it takes to create one that’s actionable and reasonable for you to take action on today. This will be applicable no matter the type of blog you want to create or where you are in your journey today and as I said we’re going to go step-by-step so that you won’t get stuck or feel overwhelmed. Let’s do it. First and foremost, what is a blog strategy? It’s not this nebulous thing that can’t be defined.

A blog strategy is simply a clear map that will path you towards your goals. Is not a formal business plan being simpler than that. And we’re going to focus more specifically on content strategy because having the right content, the content that will bring you readers and we’ll convert those readers into subscribers and customers, that is what will drive impact across all of your major blogging goals. If you can get your content right, then the rest comes much more naturally. Here’s the reality. Bloggers with a strategy are going to succeed much faster. Without a clear strategy, it’s hard to gain momentum and feel motivated to keep showing up and putting in effort on your blog when you’re not seeing the results come.

So now let’s talk about how to create a blog strategy, this clear, simple, straightforward roadmap that will get you to your goals. Step number one is to define your goals without having a really clear end point that you want to get to at least something that you have in mind. It’s hard to ever make any real progress towards anything. So, what do you want from your blog? Examples of goals could be something like boosting your reputation in your industry, generating a meaningful amount of side income so you can plan for some extra vacations or save up to buy a home, maybe you want to raise money for a charity or an important cause to you, or perhaps you want to build up momentum to get full-time as a blogger to earn a full-time living from your website. On the other hand, maybe blogging is even just a simple pleasure for you, it’s a hobby, something that you want to be fun an outlet for your own creative writing efforts. No matter the goal, what’s important about having a goal for your blog as you start with a more generalized goal, something top level from which you can later get more specific.

And an example of that could be something as simple as earning your first $10,000 from your blog within 12 months. Or maybe something like earning $30,000 in the next couple of years by using your blog to book freelance clients. Whatever that may be for you, it’s important to really clarify what your goal is. So, your task for step number one is to write down your goal. And I mean this really write it down on a physical piece of paper or online in some sort of task manager, so you have a really clear focus. Step number two, in developing your blog strategy is to pick a clear niche. Now, this is a topic area, a subject matter that you personally identify with something that you have some interest in and ideally some experience or some skills related to it that’ll help you to create content quicker and be able to impact your readers in a positive way. Now, keep in mind that you want your niche to be about subject matter that you can probably write about for years to come. Something that you’re not going to be immediately burnt out by if you’re not getting quick results.

This needs to be something that you have a personal interest in. And it’s important to note that your niche should also fit your goal. It needs to be a niche that you can generate some income from it if making money from your blog is something you care about. Examples of blog niches you could pursue based on your interests ideally are things personal finance, writing, travel, food, photography, parenting, whatever your interests may be. There are going to be other people out there that have similar interests and are seeking answers that maybe you can help provide for them. Ultimately, you want your niche to live at the intersection of your own personal interests and some profit potential if you want to make money from your blog in the long run. So, the task for this step number two is to write down your niche and keep in mind that this is something that may grow, change, evolve over time, as you personally do the same. And it’s okay if you start somewhere that you’re not completely confident will be where your blog resides for the years and years to come but you have to start somewhere and you need to start with a really clear specific niche that will be able to attract readers who resonate with what you’re creating for them.

Step number three in putting your strategy together is to identify your target market. Who is your blog for? Who are the exact people that you want to create content and solutions for? Think about demographic characteristics, like gender, age, geographic location, political interests, education level, things that will indicate what your readers are thinking about in their own personal lives. Take this a step further by thinking about where these types of people already spend their time online. And these are going to be the websites where you want to eventually guest post or maybe the social media platforms that you winna be most present on.

Now it’s important to really think through how you’re going to get in front of these specific readers in order to even bring them back to your blog and build a relationship with them and eventually monetize your content. Now your task for this step is to write down exactly who your readers are, your ideal readers, because these factors will play into the kinds of content that you create and how you interact with these people when they do arrive on your blog. Step number four in creating a strategy is to conduct keyword research. Now keywords are the types of phrases and terms that your audience is typing into major search engines like Google. These are the problems they have, the questions they’re asking, the ways in which you can create content that answers those questions.

Keyword research is the backbone of deciding what possible topics that you might write about for your blog. And you always wanna validate these kinds of topics with real research based on how many people are searching for these topics a month. And it’s important that you write about keywords that your audience is searching for answers about, rather than just attracting the wrong people that you don’t necessarily want on your blog or care to interact with in a way that you wanna build long-term sustainable relationships with. So strive for that sweet spot of finding keywords that are active and popular but not too popular in that you’ll never be able to rank on the first page of Google search results for.

And if you want more guidance on exactly how to do keyword research, click the link below this video in the description where we go to my guide about how to create a blog strategy and I talk a lot more about through the tactical process for doing keyword research that’s all be guaranteed to get you traffic, the right kinds of readers to your site. Your task for this step is to write down 10 keywords that you want to create content about and research them to make sure that they have real audience demand out there and that you can create this type of content out of personal interest, skills, experience that you have as well. Step number five in developing your strategy is to create a content calendar. This will inform exactly when you’ll publish the articles that you’ve already researched and brainstormed and decided you wanna create and in the guide that’s linked below in the description, I have a free calendar template resource that you can download and take and use on your own to layout when you’ll be publishing your own content.

But what’s most important about having a content calendar is that it makes your ideas real. It sets out a timeline for when you’re going to publish. Your content calender should also include some ideas for promotion based on the topic of this specific article at hand, where should you be promoting it? Where do you wanna guest post to link back to it and drawing some readers from a related website? Which social platforms do you want to invest some time in creating content for it? These are the kinds of questions to think through before you hit publish, so you’re not left wondering hmm what do I do next? Your task for this section is to plan out all of the posts for the next month or two, depending upon your publishing frequency.

And let’s say you publish one post a week, plan out just a month using the keywords that you planned for already and see how that feels. If it’s comfortable going out further into the future based on how much time you have to write and publish on your blog then go for it. I highly recommend having something around two to three months of content ideas already planned for so that you’re not left scrambling for ideas to write about once you get to the week off. Step number six in developing a strategy is to plan for monetization. And this is going to be relevant regardless of where you’re with your blog today.

Even if you’re just in the very early days, you wanna at least be thinking through how this content that you’re writing right here right now today, can eventually be monetized. That’s why it’s important to integrate monetization into your content plan from day one. You can monetize your content through channels like affiliate marketing, by selling your own digital products like e-books or online courses, by advertising, having display ads on your site, by sponsored posts going out and getting deals with brands that wanna reach your audience or maybe you even have services of your own that you can sell as a way to quickly begin monetizing your content as people come to your site. So your task for this step is to add monetization ideas to each content idea in your calendar. Tie each specific blog posts to a potential way that it might make money for you just so that you have a foundation for how to think about your content eventually generating revenue. Ultimately creating a strategy for your blog doesn’t need to be that difficult. It’s something that I want you to get clear on this week.

If you can define clear goals to decide on your niche and identify your target market you’re already halfway there.

Do your keyword research, dive into content planning and think about monetization as you’re going and that’s the backbone of any good substantial blog strategy. And yes, it’s something that will grow and change over time. And it should adapt to real world factors based on how people are resonating with your content and the ways in which you grow as a person as well. So once you’ve developed this strategy set aside the time to begin writing and publishing your content so that you can promote it, bring people in your blog, get to know them and work towards that monetization goal. And if you want more check out the guide that I linked to in the description of this video, where we talk much more about how to develop your blog strategy, including clear examples and screenshots and the ways in which I’ve used my own blog strategy to generate more than $35,000 a month in revenue for my blog.

So good luck.

Blogging for business: How subheadings make articles SEO-friendly + boost your Google rankings

Today I’m going to dive deep and explain to you what exactly a subheading does for blog posts. Are they going to affect your Google ranking? What are some best practices?  And what are the mistakes you should avoid when doing subheadings for your blog posts?  Hi, I’m Clarice Lin, the ROI Doctor who helps small businesses rank on Google and YouTube page one.

So first up, let’s talk about what is the real role or purpose of subheadings for your blog posts.

Subheading is like a signpost throughout your entire blog post. Most people don’t fully comprehend the importance of subheadings in their blog posts. They think is something that’s good to have and not focusing enough energy and efforts to put thought into what kind of subheadings should they have in their blog posts. And this is something that could actually help them improve in their Google rankings.

So, subheadings act both has a form of aesthetic, it helps to guide people to tell people what are different sections of your blog posts? What are they about?  What are the texts or body text that’s following the subheading.

Time is really scarce. And people tend to scan through blog posts.

So, if someone stumbles upon your blog post and realize it’s a very lengthy article, but they’re not sure if they want to read it at some point, so they might want to quickly scan it and look through using the subheadings as a guide to tell them if they should bookmark it for further reading. So, I have a number of people who have told me that with sub heading really helps them to decide whether this is the blog post that they are going to store for future references. So, subheading does work in that manner.

And another thing about having subheading is it gives enough spaces between your text, so it’ll be easier for reading. Most people might be reading the blog posts on their mobile phone these days, more than 50% of blog traffic comes from a mobile because people are looking for information on the go.

So, if you look at the screen size of a mobile phone, which is like really tiny compared to a screen, you have to consider how your blog post is going to look on both devices. So, most people, when they build on their website, or they’re doing their blog posts, they will look at it using their laptop, which has a larger screen. So, they might structure it in such a way that they feel that it’s easy to read, forgetting that most people would likely be reading the blog post on the phone. So, what happens is something that looks good and decent on the bigger screen might not be as reader friendly on the small screen.

Let’s take it.

Let’s look at this particular example. Look at this on a big screen. This is how it looks like. And this is how it looks like on a small screen.  So what do you think, you think that makes a big difference?

If you space it out properly, using subheadings, allows people to understand and follow along better with their eye. So having subheadings gives them some space between those different texts and allows them to be able to follow along when they read it. And why would you want to make it easy for readers to read? Of course, that to stop them from leaving your blog post. Imagine you have a very useful article, but people are finding it difficult to read it.

So, they will abandon it because they have no patience for it. What you need to do is to make sure people read through these subheadings they find it really useful and with enough spaces in between, it helps them to digest this article and keep them on your blog posts.

You don’t want people to leave. So, in that case, subheadings play an integral role in keeping readers wanting to read your blog post from beginning to end.

So, subheading also helps a user to understand the flow of what you’re delivering.

Some people might only want to read certain sections, so it helps them to find that information quicker. So, if they found a solution, but if they want to read more, they can still bookmark it to come back later. Having subheadings is a useful way to help readers find the answers quickly on your blog posts. Now that you know how important subheadings are for your readers, I want to cover the other aspect of having subheadings in your blog post that is to help Google understand what your blog post is about.

So, Google’s mission is to help users to find the most useful and relevant information.

When you  have subheadings in your different sections, it helps Google to understand how closely related  your blog post is to certain keywords or certain key phrases that you are putting  in your subheadings. When you don’t have enough subheadings in your blog post, it’s very  challenging for Google to decide how important your blog post is or how closely related it is,  for certain specific keywords or phrases, six different sub headings that you will include.  So you have h1, h2, h3, h4 h5, h6. So in terms of hierarchy, if you have  body text under h1, it’s considered to be more important than your body text under h2 or h3, you can use up to six different types of heading hierarchy in your blog post itself.

So, people might ask me how many subheadings would be best, optimal in the blog posts?

So, Google hasn’t really specific specify how many subheadings should you include in a blog post, but most tools suggest that for best practices, having a subheading every about 300 words is a good benchmark to have. So, if you look at that, look at about 300 words, that’s kind of enough text for people to digest before having a subheading to tell them OKAY, yes, next point.

So, it not only helps to split up the wall of text that’s making it difficult for people to read, but it also helps Google to decide what is the related score for a particular keyword that you have embedded in your different subheadings.

One of the best practices for your subheadings is you want to include your keywords or key phrases into those subheadings.

So, it helps inform Google to reiterate to Google that this blog post is very much related to these keywords, you can have variation, or different conjugation of the keywords that you have.

So, if you’re adding a noun, you could change it into like a verb, or you could have like past tense of the words. Or if you’re using certain adjectives, which are keywords, you could also add synonyms, which are different words of similar meanings into your text. So, Google’s algorithm is really smart these days. When you include different variations of the same words, basically, you’re telling Google that it’s about this topic, you’re just informing them that because the Google uses the algorithm to understand the text that you have put inside.  Some people make this big mistake of repeating the key words in every single subheading, or they try to use the same words everywhere, maybe every 100, every 100 words, they try to use those keywords inside.

And that’s what Google wouldn’t like it at all. In fact, that’s considered cheating. And Google will penalize you if you do that. So, there are a number of people who try to use those keywords, repeatedly stuffing those keywords into those texts. And what happens is, over time, Google’s algorithm was able to spot that, and to them, they will give them a penalty, and then you would decrease your chances of getting on page one, of course, so you don’t really want to do that.

Spread it out. Don’t overdo it. So, some people might ask me what size fonts I should have for my subheadings. So typically, for the normal body text, the size recommended size is about 16. That also depends on what different phones you’re using.

If  you’re using 16, for your body tags, you want your subheadings to be at least size 18 or 20.  So, people can see the difference, which is are the subheadings, which are the text itself, your subheadings shouldn’t just be like one font size up compared to your body tag, because if you do that, people can’t really differentiate it, so that defeats the entire purpose. So, to sum it up subheadings help to keep your users to read your blog post to help them to read it more easily, to help them to understand, to help them to follow better, so they want to continue reading it, they want to save it and bookmark for future purposes.

So if you make these users happy,  Google knows that you’re making this users happy, so Google will send more traffic to your website,  as well as also rank your blog posts on page one, putting keywords into your subheadings,  related keywords, synonyms in different parts of your sub headings reiterating to Google that  your blog post is closely related to a specific topic so they know when to show your blog  on their search results page.

So, by fulfilling both of these requirements, that’s really going to help you rank better on Google and you will definitely see improvements in your blog post rankings.

So if you haven’t been rigorously injecting subheadings into your blog posts,  I’ll suggest you go back to review your blog, try to read it on a mobile to see if you’re using the  right number of sub headings for every about 300 words so you’re making it clear for people who  are on a mobile. FINDING YOUR BLOGGING NICHE: How to Find a Profitable Blogging Niche!

Are you getting ready to start a blog but you don’t know what topics that you want to talk about or are you thinking about narrowing down the blog topics that you are talking about but you’re not sure how to do it picking a blogging topic in the beginning can be really hard because there’s so many different things that you can write about so it can be hard to choose just one so in this video.

I’m going to be talking about tips to help you choose a successful blogging niche that will grow your blog let’s get started but before we do if you’re new here my name is Sarah and on this channel i teach blogging tips to women who want to make money and grow a business with blogging so make sure to subscribe if you’re new here so the first thing i want to talk about is what exactly is a niche and essentially what a niche is is just the topics that you talk about on your blog it’s really just the category that your blog fits under essentially so for example my topic is blogging but that is a bit too broad because there’s so many different topics that you could talk about underneath that blogging niche.

So i’ve narrowed mine down to specifically talking about blogging tips for beginners who have either just started their blog and they’re in their first month or they haven’t even started their blog yet and they’re looking for help on how to do that it’s important that you not only pick a niche but you also narrow it down a little bit so that you can talk about specific topics and actually target a specific audience in the beginning so for example if you were doing a lifestyle blog you would want to start a blog on parenting cooking personal finance blogging and gardening those topics are just way too broad.

And they could honestly have a website of their own just with one of those topics if you do want to start a lifestyle blog and you want to talk about a bunch of topics you can eventually do that but it’s really important at the beginning to narrow down your blogging niche to one to three different topics and really hone in on them so that you can grow your blog the fastest so the first question you want to ask yourself when you start to choose a niche is what are you passionate about it’s really important to pick a niche that you’re passionate about because you will be more willing to continue the blog and you’ll be more willing to learn more about those topics so you really want to think about what is the one thing that you have a lot of knowledge in because when you start out you want to pick a topic that you actually have some experience in you also want to think about.

A topic that you can’t stop talking about something that you’re passionate about you know something that you could write 100 blog posts on because eventually you are going to be writing 100 blog posts on this topic and you could potentially even be writing more so you want to make sure it’s a topic that you cannot stop talking about you also want to pick a topic that you’re willing to learn more in because when you start blogging you don’t have to know everything about your topic you do not have to be an expert to start blogging on a specific topic if you’re passionate enough about it you do want to have some experience because you want to be able to write some blog posts on it in the beginning but eventually you are going to run out of knowledge on these topics so you want to make sure that you pick a niche that you are actually willing to learn more about.

In and continue getting information.

So that you can pass that information onto your readers so the questions you want to ask yourself when you’re choosing a niche is what are you interested in how do you spend your free time do you have any hobbies that you’d like to do and what topics do you like to learn about those are really the three main things that you want to be focusing on when you’re searching for your passion so the next thing you want to look for is is there a market for your niche now you want to do some research and see if people are actually searching for the topics that you would be potentially talking about if you chose this niche so for example gardening you could google how to start a garden or how to grow tomatoes and the way that you find out if people are actually searching for these topics is you can use a tool that i like to use called google keyword planner google keyword planner.

Is a free tool that you can use from google when typing a word or phrase to google keyword planner you’ll actually see the monthly search results for those terms so for example if we were to type in um start a garden or how to grow tomatoes you would see the average monthly searches for starter garden is one thousand to ten thousand and you’d see how to grow tomatoes you would see ten thousand to a hundred thousand you may also notice that the competition for these words is high which that means that there are a lot of bigger sites that are ranking for these terms so it might be hard for a smaller site like you to rank for them so this is where keyword research comes in and you don’t have to worry about it too much now but at least you know that there are a ton of people that are searching for these terms and if you want to look for other terms so that you can check if you scroll down you will see that they have how to plant tomatoes gardening for beginners.

How to grow tomatoes.

And pots how to plant tomato seeds and then you can see the average monthly searches and the competition for those terms and you can just type in as many keywords as you want and you can even get blog post ideas this way but you really don’t want to worry about that until you actually choose your niche really all we’re trying to do here is to make sure that there’s actually a market and people are actually searching for the topics that you would potentially write about in your blog step number three for choosing a blogging niche is checking the competition of your niche so you can do the same thing that you’ve done in google keyword planner and just start plugging in topics that you want to talk about and you can see what different types of articles pop up when you search those terms you want to be looking.

At how good are the sites topics how good are the blog posts could you potentially rank above them if you were to go into this niche and you want to look at are there any blogs ranking on the first page of google that are like yours so for example if you see a bunch of huge websites like Wikipedia ranking or do you actually see some smaller blogs ranking on the first page so that you could eventually potentially try to rank for those topics tip number four is check the profitability of your niche so the four main ways that bloggers make money is with ads affiliate marketing sponsored posts and your own products so you want to think about are there products.

That you could actually recommend to people in this niche are there people that are going to be willing to buy stuff from you if you decide to pursue this niche maybe you could recommend gardening tools that you use or if you’re in the lifestyle niche and you talked about fashion you could recommend the different outfits that you wear there are a lot of different options with this so i’m pretty sure if you looked hard enough you could find a different you could find a way to become profitable in this niche but you also want to make sure that there’s a market of people actually buying those things that’s really the important thing here is are there people on the other side of the screen that are going to be willing to buy the products from you so that you can actually make money with this niche fashion blogs also do really well with sponsored posts.

But this is something that you’ll have to worry about later on but it’s just something that you want to think about and consider and if you’re an educational niche you could think about doing courses or printables or different things like that for products that you could create once you have an audience now my biggest tip here for you picking a niche is don’t get overwhelmed with all the information that you’ve learned once you research your niche i know there can be a lot of information with a lot of different ideas buzzing around in your head and for me once i gather a lot of information sometimes i get so stressed out that i don’t know what to do with all the information.

And i end up not starting or i end up procrastinating this is all just market research to make sure that you’ve picked a good niche don’t have to worry about products that you’re going to make yet you’re just here to make sure that eventually when you do this that you can do those things to make sure you’ve picked a good niche in the beginning so try not to stress yourself out with all this information take it all with a grain of salt and just pick the niche that you think is the best option for you now once you’ve picked a niche what do you do next what are the different types of blog posts.

That you can write so what you really want to do is start at step one when you start a blog you want to target the beginners of that topic so let’s use the example that we’ve been using gardening the type of people that you want to target in the beginning is going to be the beginners if you’ve been growing tomatoes for 20 years you have a lot of information that people need to know um but they’re not going to be advanced in that topic yet so you want to go all the way back to the beginning don’t be afraid to start over start from step one and really think about.

What would you like to know if you have started gardening today what do you know now that you wish you would have known back then that would have helped you start gardening and grow the best tomato i don’t know i don’t know i don’t garden whatever it may be so you really just want to go back to the basics and start with the beginner topic because eventually when you get an audience you’ll be able to grow it and they will want to know about those advanced topics that you have but you want to start out with the beginner topics so that they can grow with you and it also will help when you start writing on those advanced topics because then you can link back to the beginner topic so that you can keep people on your blog longer so that they could learn more information about the topic that you’re talking about.

So really just go back to the basics and start from step one what would you need to know if you had started growing tomatoes today if you want to learn more about how to start a blog i offer a free email blogging course where i take you through all of the steps that you need to know to actually start your blog so if you’re interested in learning more about how to start a blog i will leave a link in the description below so that you can check that out so my question of the day is what is your blogging niche have you picked one yet are you planning on picking one or are you struggling to pick a niche right away I’d love to hear what you’re talking about on your blog so make sure to leave a comment down below uh subscribe if you’re new around here and i will see you guys Thursday bye.
