All right that militant mindset you guys out there struggling to get moving and going in the right direction. I hear this all the time uh I want to be intentional. That’s some buzzword that your goddamn Guru sold you guys intentional Jesus, Christ, nah.
What you need to be is committed right. Yes, have intent with your actions, however. Your daily routine is going to align you to where you want to go. It’s the foundation so most of you, people that are hating your diet. Why right meting your food thing, your diet, to drop some lbs and then execute at a higher level? You will feel better go harder, think clearer. If you’re nutrition is dialed in hands down, actually nutrition and lack of exercise accounts for 90 % of all known diseases and problems later in life.
So, when you’re 20 you can eat almost anything, you can drink anything, you jump off the building bounce it won’t. It won’t be an issue when your 30s and 40s things start to fall apart and how hard you rode that machine early in life, this organic machine that you have right here will dictate how comfortable the second half of your life is. And yes, you can ruin this body and this vessel to where the second half of your life is absolutely miserable diabetes, one of them preventable. Theroses of the liver fatty, liver disease, preventable heart disease, most likely preventable and a long list of cancers related to foodborne illnesses. From poor nutrition and lacking Movement, we move this machine. It takes care of itself at a higher rate.
It can fend off all those things. The immune system is strong, you’re good, your body’s strong you’re, good, your nutrition’s good, you think clearly, you’re good. So, at the end of the day, golly is it’s not about being intentional. It’s about understanding how to optimize this organic vessel that you have and your mental wellness and your physical attributes to go. Where you want to go, you don’t need the results. Trust me. So many people focus on that transactional relationship with self to get the results they want. I want those sixpack apps. No, that’s a goal. However.
What you really need to focus on is all the things aligning to achieve that outcome if that outcome comes correct. But if I do this set of functions, I’m going to think clear feel better, probably make better friends I’m going to go further professionally. I’M going to get the girl of my dreams, all those things are secondary to this guy right here, just feeling better and operating at his optimal level. So, at the end of the day, you may think it’s you need to be intentional. I would disagree. Yeah, you probably shouldn’t be intentional.
However, that’s a given.
You need to be committed every single day to hitting the requirements that you set upon yourself. So, if it’s waking up on time, no sneeze button, why are you in the snooze button get up put that alarm somewhere to where you have to get up out of bed to turn that thing off? That is how I got up at 5:00 a.m.
For nearly a decade, without missing one wake up, never late. That alarm was that old cheesy box with the red little letters, the most annoying alarm that you could imagine right going off in the morning. That was my and it was on the dresser, and I place it on dresser.
So, I’d have to get up start getting my blood flowing and then turn off that thing and then immediately after doing that, I would just get down and do 100 push-ups now a lot of people out. There say I can’t do 100. Push-Ups or whatever I don’t care, how many you can do.
I was in the Marines. I was very healthy, you be like, oh, I don’t have chest development enough to do Hunter push-ups. Yes, you do Hunter push-ups. Isn’T that hard guys? You just have to do them. A lot there’s people that do well over 100. They do 150 200 that you’ll get tired of watching them do push-ups it’s a practice, there’s a difference between muscle, mass and repetitions, they’re, not necessarily legs. You know David Goggin runs forever.
Does he have giant tree trunk legs?
No, he doesn’t his efficient muscle muscles that they built to get him moving in the direction he wants forever. Practically right, a guy runs 100-mile marathons with no train Ultras or whatever they call those guys, the psychopath Rons. That’s David Goin for you, I’m not doing that. I don’t even want to drive 100 miles guys so anyways I drop up. Do my 100 push-ups and keep it moving! That’s so simple in life! It’s just the basics right!
So, in your intention be committed to where you want to go, the next thing was Diet.
Nutrition, like I, had to have a tight diet to meet my weight standards in the Marine Corp drinking was the primary reason to sabotage my body. So, I drank a lot. I didn’t drink like a little bit. Margaritas were my jam.
There’s ton of sugar in that, so that would just destroy my macros for the day.
So, if I once I removed alcohol, like my macros, were very controllable and then I just needed to know what to put into my body to get the results I was looking for. If I wanted to put on masks, I need to have a calorie, Surplus. If I wanted to lose weight, I need to have a calorie deficit, and if I wanted to maintain my body mass or my body weight, I would just have my maintenance calories. Now you have the stair the step counters from Apple and all these other watches the fit bits and.
So, get your step counter and find out your daily maintenance use the average over a week, I’m moving 10,000 steps and my daily caloric will say: usage. Is400. Okay, no problem!
Take that your intake down to say 2,000 to start with hold there for two weeks to a month and see what your body does it’s an observation. Some people may be shredded in 30 days. Other people will have lost. You know 1 to 4 lbs it it. It just depends on the body, so you have to play with the macronutrients, based on your body style to your body type, to lose the weight or get the result. You’re look for me and my age, it’s very difficult to put on muscle mass. I have to eat a very, very specific way.
I have to lift Low Reps often times to failure at least one set. It’s uncomfortable guys and that’s just the way it is all change is uncomfortable and, lastly, being intentional is an important part where you want to go, but I definitely think being committed to the process of improvement is going to be far better. It didn’t matter when I was in the Marine Core the moment that I slipped on what I was eating: my physical fitness, my mental wellness and spirituality. My life slipped every single time.
The greatest skill that you can develop is getting back to your high frequency self. Getting in that high vibrational state that uh euphoric mental Wellness State all the way up at the top of the chart, you’ll feel better. You execute better everybody around. You will be happier when you’re in those low, vibrational States, low, energetic States. You don’t feel well. You don’t speak well: you’re, you’re, a you’re, all those things.
So, you have to return yourself back up to that high State. How you discharge that low energy is physical fitness, so, at the middle of the day, I’ll go for a walk with the dogs when it’s hot out in [, __,], Miami I’ll drop, the shirt gets that vitamin D and then I’ll walk the dogs. You know go for like a mile, a 10-to-20-minute [ __], walk that returns, my physical state and then I’ll break off some push-ups I’ll. Do probably four sets to failure. For me, that’s typically right around 60 to 70 push-ups. I can do 100, unlike some of you guys. I don’t even train push-ups anymore, but when I was training push-ups regularly every day, I do 100, no problem like yeah, it’s hard, but literally no problem. It wasn’t a challenge to do 100, like 100 110.
It’s coming, but I’m doing push-ups all the time. So now I’m not doing push-ups all the time, but I for me my failure rate’s right around 70 to 80. I can hit 70 to 80 solid push-ups, doesn’t matter like none of this half rep like hit them right. These are the things that work for me. So just return my state back to that vibrational high level and move on with the day and for me where I start to slip, is right around right after lunch.
