Creating Content (for blog, podcast, or YouTube) That Your Target Audience WANTS (25/30)

In this series of videos we're talking about how to get your online business started using Kujabi in previous videos we created your list building funnel which is where we present a free irresistible offer to your target audience in exchange for getting their name and email address we also chose and optimized your Evergreen content marketing platform so Evergreen content marketing platform is going to be Blog podcast and or YouTube now in this video I'm going to show you how to come up with ideas for content and I'll show you some resources that I use and how I go through this research because you shouldn't just be coming up with ideas in your head that's well one it's really hard and two it's just not effective because you don't know if this is stuff that your target audience is actually looking for and content that they're interested in so we're gonna find out what they're looking for and what they want.

To know so that you can deliver right now we're going through this ideas vault Tab and this is just going to be a brain dump like any ideas that you have just jot them down here and you can refine them in at a later Point once you get to actually creating your content so I have these sources listed here just so you can remember all the different places you can check and I include this um transformational statement and for this hypothetical business which is I help full-time moms put together comfortable and fashionable outfits without a lot of time or stress so that they can feel stylish and confident and I purposely chose something that's way outside of my wheelhouse um because that just makes it kind of more challenging so first of all we're going to try keywords everywhere which is a Google Chrome extension.

I have it installed already you can get it from the Chrome Store so if I do um full-time mom fashion dressed better see what it pulls up so since I have this extension installed it's over here it gives me these related keywords so these are these are still pretty um generic so I might um I might dial in it in a little bit um mom fashion like low maintenance so young moms or moms in their 30s depending on what kind of audience you're trying to Target let's say I'm going to say like Mom's in their 30s this is helping me just refine who my audience is okay so right there I'm seeing a lot of keywords that people are searching so.

I could from that come up with a topic idea like um uh winter capsule wardrobe for Mom in her 30s boom so right there that's a that's a topic that you could create out of this um these keywords that we just found so answer the public let's try this one next answer public.com and so answer the public is cool because you can give them any word or phrase and then it will Branch off like each of these um related questions that people are searching so um will mom jeans suit me I've actually seen a lot about mom jeans so it could be like how to um like how to rock mom jeans um Okay Google Trends I think it's just Google or trends.google.com this is fun because you can see what people are searching over time um what um things are getting more or less popular throughout time and geographically that's another interesting one um so let's say um full-time mom outfit ideas let's see so this is giving you this is telling you everything that people.

Are searching and another could um helpful thing that you can do with Google Trends is compare different Search terms so if you're like Mom outfits or Mom wardrobe like which one are people searching more and definitely outfits so I would say like maybe don't you know don't use the word mom wardrobe use like Mom outfits um but I bet if you did capsule wardrobe I bet we would get some different results yeah we can add one more term or um at least one more time capsule wardrobe let's use the word okay cool capsule wardrobe is a good one how about um mom capsule wardrobe and if you get a too specific you're not going to get enough data here to compare but um and you can you can Niche it down by these in these different categories depending on you know where you are in the world um so.

I like based on that I would say I'm going to mom capsule wardrobe seems like that might be a good one Pinterest isn't always a good source but for this topic it definitely is so um we are going to open those up stay at home mom outfits lazy mom outfits that are still stylish that's like exactly um Daisy mom outfits that are stylish I didn't say lazy but I said without a lot of time or stress so oops let's see so that's kind of what I was lazy also could be could be included in that um wardrobe Essentials again that's one that we saw before so that's how I use research and all these resources to get a bunch of content ideas and then um like I said you would uh you know dial these in choose if it's a 60-day Content plan and you're posting once a week you know you have to come up with eight ideas so you would come up with those from this idea Vault from.

 

A whole bunch of ideas.

You'd select your top eight or eight that are relevant like seasonally appropriate if there's um you know if it's depending either weather-wise or if there are holidays coming up something like that that you can kind of tie in with your content um and then you would just post them in here this is where you're going to keep track of them the dates what topics um keywords to use in the description the call to action which is always you're always going to include a call to action to to get into your funnel um any notes linked directly to the post itself and then the link to backup because you should always be including a backup either in your Google drive or Dropbox or something so you have a record of everything so now you have a bunch of great content ideas next we're going to actually create the content which I know believe me is no small task but this is how we grow.

An Engaged and loyal audience organically without using paid ads and also keep in mind that we are creating Evergreen content so it's always going to be available and that means that the more people view it the higher the algorithms are going to rank it the more people will view it so it's going to have a compounding effect over years potentially so it is it's a lot of work but it is worth the time and energy investment so watch the next video on creating your content uh thank you so much for watching this one and I will see you next time foreign.
