5 Facebook Traffic Secrets for Lead Generation | Traffic Secrets Part 1
Hey there, it's Dan Wardrope here from Flexxable and today I wanted to talk to you about the traffic secrets of Facebook Ads. What is it that we're doing as an agency and our students are doing inside our program that is slashing the cost per leads? So today I've got five tips for you, but the first thing, before I even get into them, these hacks, these secrets, I wanted to explain that there's no real kind of traffic secret, okay? There's nothing that we're doing or any other guru out there is doing that is just a secret or amazingly different to what everyone else is doing, okay? There's no such thing.
Hi everyone. Thank you so much for watching our content. Every Tuesday and Thursday we're going to be releasing new videos. So if you want to stay up to date, all you have to do is click that subscribe button and ring that bell right down there. In my opinion, and I have had a lot of experience, we spend a lot of money on Facebook ads.
The biggest single factor that moves the needle and reduces that cost per lead is creating a lot of new creatives, new ads, new copy, new images, new videos, all of that type of stuff, and just pumping them into their account over and over again with new audiences and new creatives, all right, until something catches and that's what makes the difference. Okay, even what trumps that is an offer that converts. Everyone knows that as well. So if you have an offer that converts that is very catchy, then Facebook are going to love your ads anyway. So try and find offers that are good rather than trying to make an offer that isn't good work because it's just not going to happen. Okay, so it's all about the offer, and it's all about the creative. Those two things kind of trump any of these five tips I'm gonna tell you right now. Okay, so just be aware of that and be confident with what you're doing because there's no, these gurus talk a good game, right? But I can tell you from firsthand experience there's nothing amazing that they're doing. They're probably just writing more ads than you.
That's what I would say, that trying and testing and split testing lots of new stuff. So be confident in yourself and realize that that is the path to success rather than trying to find some hack that's going to suddenly transform you, as a business owner or as an agency owner, so it's important. So the first one is, I know I touched on this before, but the creative is king, all right? So once you have something dialed in, once you have the copy, the headline and the image dialed in, then try very similar to what you've got working in lots of different formats of ads, okay? So you could try a carousel ad, you could try an image ad, you could try a video ad, you could try an instant experience type ad. You could try all of these different, you know, I've probably named four or five there, but there's loads within Facebook, right? So try whatever's working pump, you know, try and get as many different versions of what's working inside your ad account as quickly as you can, okay? Because you'll often find that there's an ad format that will do better than what you're currently doing. So that's my first traffic secret with Facebook ads. The second one is everyone in this day and age should be running some video ads within their arsenal.
And it's not necessarily because you're going to get cheaper leads out of the gate with video ads, but what we're doing a lot now, and what works really well is if you create look alike audiences from people that have watched a certain proportion of the video, all right? So let's say your cost per lead, you know, you're getting paid a hundred bucks a lead, for example, and your cost per lead from the video ad is say 65 bucks or whatever out of the gate, cold traffic. You're doing okay, right, but if you can then create look alike audiences of people that have watched, engaged with that video, and you start another cold traffic campaign to that new look alike audience or audience, you're going to be likely under that 50 bucks per lead. That just seems to be working very well for us, and it's traffic tip number two. Traffic tip on Facebook number three is, and this is a bit of a bandaid solution, okay, but when you're seeing one of your campaigns inside Facebook starting to bomb, so it's been three or four days in a row, sometimes less, and the cost per lead is just too high, okay?
It's steadily increasing each day and you know in your bones that it's just not going to come back. So when you see that happen in three, maybe four days, switch that campaign off, duplicate it, and get it going again all right? And what will happen in most cases is that your cost per lead will drop relatively quickly and you'll have a few good days before things start to go again. And that's why I call it a bit of a bandaid solution because it'll get you a nice quick, fast result, but it's not gonna be a long term solution for you, but it is a nice little traffic insider secret, which was my third tip. The fourth tip, and you've heard me talk about this before, is testing a lot that the first three lines within the ad copy all right?
So if you're imagining a Facebook ad, you'll have, you know, on mobile for example, you'll have the first three lines up the top and then if it's a long copy ad, you'll have a see more type button. And people have to click that to see whatever's down below those initial first three lines. If I was you guys, I would take my best long copy that you've got and I would create 20 different versions of those first three lines and upload them all into the same campaign, and I would have maybe 10 different audiences and create 20 of those ads and put them into each of the 10 audiences, duplicate those 20 ads and put them into each of the 10 audiences. And what you're going to find is that there'll be a definite trend between in all of the audiences that are running, all of the ad sets that are running, you'll see a trend on what the best ad is, which definitely coincides with the first three lines cause they're what everyone reads, right? It just makes so much sense to give them a lot of time and effort and focus, very, very important, okay?

And this is a really good traffic secret actually. It works well for us every time across all our verticals. All right, do not discount this traffic tip number four, the first three line hack. And the last hack is dynamic creative over and over and over again, this has worked for us, but do not try and run dynamic creative out of the gate with copy that you don't know works well, or with ads that you don't know work well. You should go through these four hacks that I've just told you about, these four traffic secrets that I've just told you about before you even start dynamic creative, because you want to have stuff dialed in and you want to be able to use your best copy, your best creatives, your best video, your best images, and put them into a dominant dynamic creative, and that's going to turn things around for you, all right?
And you'll get even cheaper leads okay? Dynamic creative almost always gives cheaper leads when you've got your ad copy dialed in. So they're my five traffic secrets, hype-y traffic secrets that make all the difference when it comes to running Facebook ads. I guarantee you if you do all of these five things, you're going to see a big difference in your cost per lead. You might be a pay per lead agency, you might be a retainer based agency, but it's going to help you regardless. So if you want to know more you want to obviously have a chat to us or our team about starting a pay per lead agency, then there'll be a link in this video, somewhere below this video where you can book a call with one of our team members or myself, and we'll run through what your options are and whether or not we believe you've got a real chance of making pay per lead work. I guess that's it for today and I'll speak to you soon. Take care.
